2-year master/full-time

YSAFA offers BA and MA programmes in Design on a full time basis. The programme aims to prepare highly qualified specialists to cover a broad range of market needs. In particular, it prepares specialists for industry, environmental design (exterior, interior), creative-projection, advertising and other areas of design.  Such courses as composition, ergonomics, architectonics, bionics, drawing geometry, exterior-interior, projection and others are offered.

At MA level the programme enable the students to pursue advanced studies in the areas of history and philosophy of design, technology, urbanism, landscape, ecology, energy, conservation, art, design and the public domain, risk and resilience, and real estate.

Internships are organized in different fields of industry and private sector.

Master’s degree final assessment is carried out in the form of master’s thesis or a complex creative compositional work defence. In case of compositional work, the graduate presents an extended explanatory or the research study (in a written form) referring to the work subject to defence. The final work should express not only students’ academic knowledge and creative abilities but also research skills. For the preparation of the Master’s thesis or compositional work, a supervisor and an opponent are assigned to a graduate. The topic, scope, sizes are approved by the relevant chair.

The BA and MA programme in Applied Arts prepares highly qualified specialists for applied arts compositional creative as well as performing arts on a full time basis. The programme puts a special emphasis on development of such knowledge, skills ad competencies that enable free expression of ideas, critical and analytical thinking to come up with a variety of compositional solutions in practice. Alongside with it the students are introduced to the richness of techniques and technologies in applied arts, history of applied arts, its national origins and traditions as well as modern world experience.

YSAFA offers BA and MA programmes in Art Computer Graphics on full time basis and aims at preparing highly qualified specialists with in-depth knowledge and skills in computer graphics, 3D graphics, WEB site projection and graphic programming, product packaging, firm styles design, computer advertisement, electronic business and other spheres.

The programme attaches a special emphasis on developing students’ aesthetic perceptions as well as their abilities to turn their ideas into computer projections. The challenging curricula enable students to learn how to make use of the variety of opportunities offered by modern automatic technologies in their compositional projections. Internships ensure students have the skills to actively involve in the day-to-day practice in different spheres of industry and private sector.

The BA and MA programmes in Fashion Design are offered on full time basis and aim at preparing specialists for a wide range on industries. The programme offers a challenging curriculum to enable variety of solutions to complex modelling problems, development of modelling projects in line with the new trends in contemporary fashion and high aesthetic taste, generation of compositional ideas and their fruition into real life. A great importance is attached to the history of national costume and trends in worldwide fashion development. The main courses offered evolve around composition, work with material, technology, designing, architectonics, national costume pattern, European outfit, etc.

At practical level, the programme offers a challenging internship and the achieved qualifications are presented to the public through fashion shows organized by students.
