Scholarships, discounts, rotation

Scholarships

YSAFA students are awarded a scholarship for the academic year based on excellent and good progress and appropriate behavior.  

Discounts[1]

A discount system operates in YSAFA. According to the Regulation on Partial Compensation of Tuition Fee as Student Benefit, the procedure and conditions of partial compensation of tuition fee as student benefit (tuition fee discount) are identified.

 

  • Students can benefit from the partial compensation of tuition fees in case of having the appropriate grade point average (GPA) for Bachelor’s and Master’s levels.
  • The first year students can get partial compensation of tuition fees only starting from the second semester.
  • YSAFA provides partial compensation of tuition fees as student benefit from its own resources for at least ten percent of the students who study in a paid education system. This comprises at least seven percent of the budget formed by tuition fees.   

 

Accepting documents

 

  • The applications for tuition fee discount are accepted within two weeks prior to the start of each semester classes and two weeks after that.
  • The Office of Registrar in YSAFA accepts the applications for tuition fee discount and the attached documents.
  • The following students can apply for partial compensation of tuition fees:
    • Socially disadvantaged students (from familities having high threshold point), at least 30 percent,
    • Students without parental care after 18 years old up to getting 23, at least 50 percent,
    • Orphans under 23 who lost one of the parents, at least 50 percent, 

 

  • Students having a child up to one year, at least 50 percent,        
  • Students from families having three and more adults or three or more students, at least 30 percent,  
  • Group 1 or group 2 disabled persons, including students who have a disabled parent, at least 30 percent,  
  • Students who had compulsory military service in military units, at least 30 percent,  
  • Socially disadvantaged students (from families having a higher point then 0 in the system) at least 20 percent,  
  • Students having a better progress within two semesters who deprived the right to benefit with 0.1 point in the competition for the partial compensation of tuition fees, at least 50 percent,
  • Excellent students who are not included in the system of student benefit (based on the Order N609-N by RA Minister of Education and Science, 22.06.2010, consider a student as excellent when having the GPA threshold of more than 3.6 for Bachelor’s level, and 3.8 – for Master’s level), up to 50 percent,     
  • Children of main staff with at leat five years of experience working at YSAFA, up to 50 percent,
  • Students having other status determined by Yerecan State Academy of Fine Arts.

 

Rotation

Students of YSAFA who demonstrate high performnace for each academic year have an opportunity to be transferred from the paid sytem to free system of study.
