The current visit of Tempus HESDeSPI project Higher Educational System Development for Social Partnership Improvement and Humanity Sciences Competitiveness took place in 2011, October 15-16-17, at YSAFA and YSUAC by Hans Skoglund.
The latter came from Sweden as an external expert from European Union part for investigating and evaluating the current process of above-mentioned institutions. Within the frames of this visit presentations were held both at YSAFA and YSUAC, they also met the representatives of advisory board, they visited the museum of modern art. Gafeschyan foundation, International curators’ association, they met the head of modern fine arts Sona Harutyunyan from the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, the coordinator of Tempus National office in Armenia Lana Karlova, they discussed the role of cooperation with the social partners in the field of art.

During my short time (October 15-16, 2011) visit to Armenia I focused on the project events planned by the work plan. It was assessed overall presence situation within the program on the basis of the negotiations and discussions with staff and students of the Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction (YSUAC).
The Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts and Yerevan State University of Architecture and Construction staff participated in the meeting with their presentations. Many issues were clarified through the discussion and Q&A.
Program aspects evaluated:
Quality of the study programmes concept in related study courses (Humanity sciences, Culture administration); presence of elaborated 5 study modules and representation of necessary topics and skills in them.
a) Presence of training materials for elaborated study courses (quality and languages available) .
b) Methodological recommendations for developing qualification exam/paper content.
c) Process of approbation and testing of training modules.
d) Links between the current study programme and other courses of study in the study related organisational unit.
e) The compliance of study programmes with needs of labour market and future skills of graduates, the co-operation with labour market is justified (concluded contracts, agreements, meeting protocols etc.).
f) The compliance of study programmes structure and content with legal regulations in partner country.
g) Quality of implementation of study programmes- availability of human and technical resources.
h) Use of state-of-the art equipment for implementing of educational programmes (e.g. computers, multimedia techniques, software).
i) Existence of developed professional standard for each qualification.
j) Conformity of professional qualification for involvement in European Qualification Framework, development of documentation regarding ECTS and EQF
k) Level of development of methodological recommendations regarding improvement of higher education offer, content and educational and management processes
l) Publications in mass media and informative articles regarding the project and its outcomes
